Mission-focused technology built with disciplined judgment.
Black Summit Holdings LLC is a U.S.-based, veteran-led technology company focused on security, intelligence, investigation, evidence, and defense-aligned software.
We build for organizations that need verifiable outputs, operator control, clear accountability, and an honest understanding of what a system can—and cannot—establish.
Founder
Experience is useful when it improves the system.
Timothy Smith founded Black Summit Holdings after 12 years of U.S. Army infantry service, three Iraq combat tours, additional fire-support training, and subsequent city and county law-enforcement experience. His work spans mission planning, investigations, physical security, intelligence analysis, risk assessment, and decisions under uncertainty.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Strategic Security and Protection Management, an associate degree in Criminal Justice, and academic training in intelligence analysis. That background informs a direct engineering standard: define the mission, control the boundary, preserve the evidence, document uncertainty, and keep the responsible operator in control.
Operating doctrine
Technology must serve the mission.
AI and automation are used only where they improve analysis, speed, verification, or operator capability without obscuring responsibility.
01Define the mission requirement and authorized boundary.
02Separate evidence from assumptions and unresolved questions.
03Design for security, traceability, and operator control.
04Make outputs reviewable and reproducible.
05State maturity, limitations, and human responsibility clearly.
06Validate the actual workflow before making readiness claims.
A veteran-owned pathway for defined mission needs.
Black Summit Holdings LLC is an SBA-certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business available for qualified federal, prime-contractor, subcontracting, teaming, product, pilot, and research-and-development discussions.
Each discussion begins with the requirement, authority, information boundary, deliverable, and verified maturity of the technology involved.
